Labradorite necklace
Fine labradorite beads 4mm diameter. Labradorite is a feldspar, like a moonstone, the name coming from the first discovery in Labrador, Canada, in 1770. A variety of the feldspar-group mineral orthoclase. During formation, orthoclase and albite separate into alternating layers. When light falls between these thin layers, it is scattered, producing the phenomenon called adularescence. Therefore, these beautiful beads show various ever-changing colours, from blue to green to gold.
It is secured with a sterling silver ball catch and strung on a multi-core beading cable, which makes it very durable.
A perfect birthday, anniversary or Christmas present.
