Product Code:

Apatite & Moonstone necklace.
Fine quality moonstone briolettes, interspersed with apatite.
Apatite is a naturally occurring gemstone, largely unknown to the general public but prized by collectors for its many different colours and forms.
Known for its asparagus green colour, found in a wide range of colours, from colourless to pink, yellow, blue too violet. The cost of the stone increases with the intensity of the colour. The best apatite is neon greenish blue with a clean clarity. The colour of the best specimens of this type rivals the famed Paraiba tourmalines,
Moonstone is a variety of the feldspar group mineral orthoclase. During formation, orthoclase and albite separate into alternating layers. Light is scattered when falling between these layers, producing the phenomenon called adularescence. Adularescence is the light that appears to billow across a gem, often called a schiller. Other feldspar minerals can also show adularescence including labradorite.
Because gemstones are a lifetime passion, David & Nicola have both studied at the internationally recognised Gem-A and have passed the prestigious DGA. An extensive stock of beautiful diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and pearls is available for you to select from. Importantly we will gladly show you a selection. Simultaneously discuss and explain the technical and aesthetic considerations. Without a doubt, the design & stone you choose will be unique and beautiful. Designed to suit your lifestyle, thereafter an ongoing delight. A perfect birthday, anniversary or Christmas present, beautifully boxed.
