Black spinel is a rare gemstone of hard vitreous magnesium aluminium oxide or magnesium aluminate. Specifically, black spinel is one of the rarest minerals from the Spinel family, the most famous being the black Prince’s ruby. The name derives from the Latin spina, little thorn, due to the crystal structure. Its hard sharp facets give this necklace amazing sparkle.
Because gemstones are a lifetime passion, David & Nicola have both studied at the internationally recognised Gem-A and have passed the prestigious DGA. An extensive stock of beautiful diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and pearls is available for you to select from. Importantly we will gladly show you a selection. Simultaneously discuss and explain the technical and aesthetic considerations. Without a doubt, the design & stone you choose will be unique and beautiful. Designed to suit your lifestyle, thereafter an ongoing delight. A perfect birthday, anniversary or Christmas present, comes in its own luxury branded pearl case.
