Black spinel & pearl necklace

Black spinel & pearl necklace.
Black spinel is a rare gemstone made up of hard vitreous magnesium aluminium oxide or magnesium aluminate. Particularly important, the name spinel comes from the Latin spina or little thorn. The rough crystals have a very sharp thorn-like habit, and these faceted beads have an amazing sparkle, surprisingly in a pure black stone. Specifically, black spinel is one of the rarest minerals that comes from the Spinel family, the most famous being the black Prince’s ruby.
A lovely contrast is these 2mm seed pearls, a lovely creamy lustre. They also look stunning when combined with a vibrant colour, such as emerald.
Because gemstones are a lifetime passion, David & Nicola have both studied at the internationally recognised Gem-A and have passed the prestigious DGA. An extensive stock of beautiful diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds and pearls is available for you to select from. Importantly we will gladly show you a selection. Simultaneously discuss and explain the technical and aesthetic considerations. Without a doubt, the design & stone you choose will be unique and beautiful. Designed to suit your lifestyle, thereafter an ongoing delight. A perfect birthday, anniversary or Christmas present, beautifully boxed.
