This necklace is a majority of opulent garnets perfectly faceted round beads have amazing sparkle. Calibrated in size to 2.5mm, framing a 10mm white round pearl with a lovely deep lustre, and slightly pinkish tone. Pearls are technically an organic substance produced by shelled molluscs with concentric layers of calcium carbonate.
A pearl is a rare and luxurious gem formed within the shell of certain mollusks. When a small irritant enters, the mollusk gradually coats it with layers of smooth, iridescent nacre, creating a luminous, perfectly rounded jewel. Celebrated for its timeless elegance and subtle glow, the pearl has long been a symbol of sophistication and refined beauty.
Until the early 20th century, the only way to find pearls was to dive to the ocean floor.
Most pearls that we see today are cultured. Cultured pearls are, to all intentions, the same material as natural pearls, but the irritant is placed in the molluscs rather than by chance in nature.

Garnet is the birthstone for January and the gem for the second anniversary. Garnets are a set of closely related minerals that form a group, resulting in gemstones in almost every colour. The commonest colour for garnets is red, and so many people assume that they all have this colour. Almost any colour is possible except a pure blue, however, and some garnets change their colours depending on the type of light in which they are viewed.
With an overall length of 16 inches, the necklace has sterling silver fittings, and magnetic ball catch. Can be made longer or shorter as desired to order.
