A 0.52ct natural Burmese ruby forms the centre of this 5mm mixed-metal ring. David rub-over sets the ruby in yellow gold, surrounds it with 24 natural brilliant-cut diamonds and combines the setting with his signature white and yellow gold dots-and-circles construction.
The pattern runs through the ring rather than sitting on its surface. The rub-over setting also removes the need for projecting claws. David Ashton Jewellery uses only natural diamonds nd gemstones, never lab-created diamonds. David studied gemmology and diamonds with the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), gaining a DGA qualifications His gemmological knowledge informs the natural gemstones selected for his jewellery.
