David and Nicola studied at the internationally recognised Gem-A and passed the prestigious DGA. An extensive stock of beautiful diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds is available for you to select from. Importantly, we’ll gladly show you a selection and discuss and explain the technical and aesthetic considerations. This will ensure you fully understand and appreciate the stones you choose.

The finest brilliant-cut natural diamonds ensure superior brilliance, sparkle & life. These studs are available in sizes from 0.1ct each, in 18ct rose or yellow gold. These are classic David Ashton rub-over settings, they are also available with an additional diamonds set around the main diamond.

For a white metal you want to wear every day, nothing beats Platinum. It is naturally white and doesn’t need plating. It is also inert, so it won’t tarnish. Platinum ages and works hardens, so it consequently gets harder during life, thus holding more securely the stones set within it.

The settings are solid not undercut on the inside. This keeps the diamonds clean and prevents the build-up of soaps and lotions that can cause skin irritation. Threaded posts ensure security, and can be worn 24/7.

In his younger years, David trained as a scientific and medical instrument maker in Cambridge and, consequently, as an aircraft engineer. Importantly, this gave him a unique perspective on precision manufacturing, which he then applied to jewellery making.

I have implemented IP Anonymization, simply put, the last three digits of your IP address are set to zeros in memory shortly after being sent to the Analytics Collection Network. The full IP address is never retained, or written to disk.
