Exceptional Natural Sapphires Framed with Brilliant Diamonds

These elegant 18ct yellow gold ear studs feature a magnificent pair of natural blue sapphires, weighing 1.51ct in total. Each sapphire sits securely in David Ashton’s signature rub-over setting, surrounded by a sparkling halo of 24 brilliant-cut natural white diamonds.

The finest D/E colour, VVS clarity diamonds, with excellent cut, polish and symmetry, create exceptional brilliance and dispersion. Meanwhile, the rich blue sapphires provide a beautiful contrast against the warmth of the polished 18ct yellow gold.

Designed for lasting beauty and everyday comfort, the solid settings protect the gemstones without open backs that can collect soap and lotions. Furthermore, secure threaded posts provide additional peace of mind, making these beautiful ear studs a pleasure to wear every day.

Individually handcrafted by David Ashton in his London workshop, these timeless ear studs perfectly complement our natural sapphire jewellery collection.

We can also create this design in platinum or 18ct rose gold, using alternative sapphire colours, rubies, diamonds or emeralds. Choose larger or smaller central gemstones, or explore a contemporary single-stone design without the diamond halo. Each commission offers the opportunity to create something truly individual.
