The example shown features 0.21ct bright intense green natural emerald with 24 natural diamonds, 0.25ct total, emerald rub-over set and diamond frame, in 2.6mm 18ct yellow gold band. All diamonds are natural and, unless specifically stated otherwise, meet our D/E, VVS, Triple Excellent house standard. Handmade individually in David Ashton’s London workshop.

A bright green natural emerald has a frame of 24 fine white natural diamonds in a elegant yellow-gold ring. David Ashton handmakes each ring individually in his London workshop, combining careful proportions with everyday comfort and lasting durability.
Gemstone quality
We selected this natural emerald for its rich, vibrant green colour and attractive clarity, with the individual character that makes a fine natural emerald distinctive.
All diamonds used by David Ashton Jewellery are natural. We select all our natural diamonds to our house standard of D/E colour, VVS clarity and Triple Excellent cut, polish and symmetry. This exceptional quality gives our diamonds outstanding brightness, fire and scintillation.
Construction and everyday wear
David favours rub-over settings because the smooth precious-metal rim securely holds the centre stone without projecting claws to catch on clothing or hair. The construction also reduces places where dirt, soap and lotions can collect, helping the stone stay cleaner and making the setting comfortable and virtually maintenance-free for everyday life.
Gemstone expertise
David and Nicola have both studied with the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) and successfully passed the Diamond Diploma, gaining the DGA qualification. Their training supports the technical and aesthetic guidance they give when comparing natural stones.
